                                             The Process:   Coming up with a logo was a long, hard process. It took a lot of sketching to finally come up with something that I liked. First we started by sketching some designs. Then in Adobe Illustrator we started making black and white versions of our sketches. Then we started adding colors and seeing what colors we liked. I tried a lot of color combos before making a final decision. The three logos with color below are the logos I narrowed my decision down to.         Final Decisions: I decided to choose the logo with the Blue background and pinkish/ reddish flower. Logo C o l o r Schemes  Analogous: Sprite and Tostitos This logo uses the analogous colors of green, blue and yellow. I think the company chose these colors because they fit the flavor of the drink. This logo uses the analogous colors of yellow, orange and red. I think that the company chose these colors because warm colors like these tend to make people feel hungry and these colors are colors of things you would eat the chips with like salsa/cheese. C omplementary:  Taco Bell and Tide This logo uses the complementary colors of purple, a reddish pink and yellow. I think that the company chose these colors because they look good together and the red color makes you feel hungry. This logo uses the complementary colors of blue, orange, and yellow.   Typography Name Anatomy  T he Project:   In this project we had to identify different types of typography in our names. We also had to show lines where the letters should be. What I Learned:  During this project I learned a lot of new things. I learned about how to use different fonts the right way and how many people use the font Comic Sans the wrong way. I learned different typefaces that are in my name. I also learned the difference between sans and sans serif. How the Project Went:  This project went pretty good. The typeface anatomy sheet really helped me identify what types of typography are in my name. Overall I learned many new and useful things that I hadn't known before.

What I Learned:       What I learned while doing this project was I relearned what primary and secondary colors are. I also learned about tertiary, analogous, complementary, and split complementary colors. Tertiary colors are primary and secondary colors combined. Analogous are three colors next to each other on the color wheel like yellow, yellow-green, and yellow-orange. Complementary colors are two colors across from each other on the wheel, and split complementary is same as complementary but on the side you pick a color next to the compliment.  How I Did It:  I completed this project using Adobe Illustrator. I had never used illustrator before so everything was new to me.    The group sidewalk chalk activity was a good chance to meet the other people in E-Comm. My group started out by picking out a symbol on the sheet. Then we decided on a shield shape where we would draw all of our symbols. The shape we decided on was an interstate sign. We chose an interstate sign because interstate signs show where you're going and we are all going places in our lives.    Once we all had an idea of what symbol we were going to draw we started to sketch our design on paper. We picked out the colors we wanted and when we went outside we talked about how we would fill up the space of the square we picked. We took turns drawing our symbols. We worked pretty well as a group and our chalk drawing turned out to be pretty good!
